Why RenLady? Have you ever heard of the expression: Renaissance Man?
- The notion expressed by Leon Battista Alberti (1404-72), “a man can do all things if he will.”
- A well-rounded individual gifted and skilled in many different areas, also known as a polymath.
- A cultured man of the Renaissance who was knowledgeable, educated, or proficient in a wide range of fields.
Well, I am not a man, and I am not from the Renaissance period. However, I do seem to have many talents. This has felt like both a blessing and a curse to me over time. I often say, “I can do a little bit of everything, but not a lot of anything.” It seems that no matter how hard I try at something, no amount of learning and experience, I cannot seem to get truly proficient at it. I have watched others excel at their craft and love it. Deep down, I always know that I can never seem to achieve that level. However, I have realized that even though I might not ever excel in one thing, I can do just about anything I am willing to try. Some of these things I have even gotten decent at, and I truly enjoy doing all of them.
